5	Oakland A's Dog Day at the Park	Oakland Coliseum 7000 Coliseum Way Oakland, CA 94621 VIEW MAP	Fri. 7/17/09 5:30 pm	Fri. 7/17/09 10:00 pm	The Fourth Annual A's Dog Day at the Park, presented by AvoDerm, Ultra Premium Dog Food, will take place on Friday, July 17 for the A's 7:05 pm game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. For $15, A's fans and their dogs can watch the game from the pet-friendly Plaza Reserve section of Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. A pre-game “pup rally” will take place in K Lot from 5:30-6:15 pm and will feature pet contests such as best dressed big dog, best dressed small dog, best dressed A’s dog, best trick and dog that looks most like its owner. Following the rally a “pup parade” will take place where owners can circle the field’s warning track with their leashed dogs. Each dog in attendance will also receive an A's bandana and a goody bag with dog product samples. A portion of the proceeds from A’s Dog Day at the Park will benefit Dogs4Diabetics, a non-profit organization that trains medical-alert service dogs to detect hypoglycemia (low blood glucose) in humans and alert their partner or other family member of the situation.
