A mixed breed animal is often the best of both worlds. It can have the personality traits of its primary breed yet not suffer the physical issues inherent to the pure breed. Many perfect companions can be found at rescue groups and animal shelters. Most animals end up at shelters not because there is something wrong with them but because their owner is moving or just doesn't want to care for them anymore. Remember, spayed or neutered animals are healthier and happier.
